The Vision
Creature Catalog was started with the idea to create educational posts and spread awareness to species in need, whether the creatures are big, small, scaly, furry, or feathered. As a naturalist, I feel my job is to document and educate people about the incredible amount of biodiversity we have here on Earth and the significance of healthy ecosystems in our environments.
I thoroughly believe in my motto "conservation through photography and education." Without the education aspect, issues go unnoticed and awareness diminishes. Without the photography aspect, we humans tend fail to emotionally connect with a subject and become negligent to conservation conflicts.
Working with endangered species in-situ and ex-situ, I've been allowed to be connected with these extraordinary creatures shown in my photographs and have learned the importance of keeping wild animals wild. Mother Nature is incredibly resilient and there is still hope to see her natural world rehabilitated.
If you are interested in supporting my cause, you will also be supporting many non-profits I work with, my research, and creating educational programs for children and adults. Feel free to contact me about photography workshops, to purchase prints, advice, partnerships, or any ways that I can improve my work.
